In April 2023, EveryGen group at Griffith University’s Policy Innovation Hub is hosting a visit of the world’s first Commissioner for Future Generations from Wales, Sophie Howe. Howe, who has just completed her six–year term, is coming to Australia to share her insights and speak about her legacy.

The rights of future generations: Lessons from Wales
Wales was the first country to pass a Well-being of Future Generations Act in 2015. The Act has demanded long-term solutions to the country’s biggest challenges to improve the country’s social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being.
